Hi, I’m Jamie!

I'm a born and raised Southern California native and current Detroit transplant. Detroit is not as bad as the media makes it out to be, and having lived in two major California cities majority of my life, I can tell you-something wonderful is brewing in Detroit, and it’s not just the beer.  

My blog is focused around my love for interior design, curating + redoing spaces in our home, a bit of food, some ravel, and any other musings that inspire me day to day and will hopefully give you inspiration for everyday living.

By day I work at an exhibit and event design company as an interior designer located in Detroit, and by night I'm wife to a wonderful human, mother to our adopted fur baby Cholula, at home chef, amateur photographer, and now, blogger.

While my parents would have loved to have seen me become a nurse (we're Filipino, it's just in our blood) I opted for the latter- something creative, something that had nothing to do with science, and something that I genuinely loved-interior design.  

On a hope and a prayer I moved from my hometown of Los Angeles to San Francisco. It was the best four years of my life finding lifelong friends, cultivating my love of food, growing into my own skin, and as fate would have it, finding the love of my life; and it's him that brought me here to Michigan.

I miss the ocean, In n’ Out, and my family, but I feel like I’m right where I need to be here in the mid-west. But let’s be honest, I’ll always be a west coast girl at heart!
