Drink Drank Drunk : Maple Old-Fashioned
Now that we’re in the thick of the ‘ber’ months it was only suiting that I shared a fall favorite. While I love me a good glass of wine, you will more than likely find me at a bar sipping on a Bulleit and Ginger Ale or an old-fashioned. I have a soft spot for stiff drinks, and I love that warm fuzzy feeling I get when I take my first sip, it’s like a big bourbon hug!
My food contributor Rachel who is originally from Minnesota has an uncle who makes real maple syrup (none of this Aunt Jemima nonsense). She was nice enough to not only share this homemade goodness with me, but she also invited me over to enjoy an old-fashioned that utilizes this precious ingredient! Friends with artisan goods AND alcohol, count me in! So here’s a twist on classic that screams fall, is an instant crowd pleaser, and will warm your belly on a cold fall day! Cheers!
